The research “Networked video games for older adults” is teleported to the Great Lisbon international conference (GREATLX)
Publication date: September 19, 2013On September 16, during the Great Lisbon international Conference, GreatLX, the PhD student Liliana Costa highlights that a new older adult’s gamer profile is emerging and it will bring new challenges for game developers. She also shows the potential of networked video games on promoting digital inclusion and eradicating social barriers.
From 15 to 16 of September 2013, the first edition of "Great LX - Great Lisbon Conference on Games and TEL (Technology enhanced learning) " at ISCTE (Lisbon University Institute) was held.
In this conference, there was a reflection on the challenges of 2020, the future of education, games-based learning and life long learning.
Liliana Costa from the project SEDUCE was there and she highlighted that a new older adult’s gamer profile is emerging and it will bring new challenges for game developers.
