The SEDUCE project attended the Research Day event hosted by the University of Aveiro

On July 19, the SEDUCE project made known the process of involving older adults' in the development of multimedia applications, during the third edition of Research day's event, hosted by the University of Aveiro.

On June 19, the third edition of 'The Research Day' event was held at the University od Aveiro. This event has the purpose of encouraging the exchange of knowledge and the presentation of the best research projects in different areas and research units.

Between 09:00 a.m. and 18:30 p.m., many researchers and other entities of the academic community join together in order to establish partnerships and celebrate the research results.

Sónia Ferreira, a PhD student of the doctoral program in Information and Communication in digital platforms (ICPD) and researcher of the SEDUCE project, was awarded an horable mention in the poster:

The SEDUCE project also mades known the use of new communication technologies by older adults to the scientific community. During the event, the prototype of an online social community and a video game using Kinect addressed to this audience were exposed.

The “Research day” is an Annual event that is held at the University of Aveiro. It has the purpose of encouraging the active participation and collaboration between researchers. In 2013, 161 posters and 10 prototypes were exhibited. The program can be found here.
