Portugal and Brazil are together in doing research about technological innovation and the enhancement of an active ageing

On September 2, a roundtable discussion on ‘Games and Education’ was held in Bahia state. The researcher Ana Veloso travelled to Juazeiro with the purpose of showing the online socal community – miOne - and the conducted research related to the use of digital games in education, specifically by older adults.

Last Monday, 2nd of September of 2013, Dr. Lynn Alves, researcher at the University State of Bahia (UNEB- Campus I) and Dr. Ana Veloso, researcher at the University of Aveiro, were invited to share their knowledge about video games on a Roundtable on games and education.

The use of digital games in education has been the main topic, especially their use by older adults. The involvement of the Universidade Aberta da Terceira Idade (UATI) in the research group has been in focus. Overall, several researchers of UNEB - Campus II, students of school of Education and Social Communication and professoras from other institutions attended this event.
