“Social networks for over 50s” is under discussion at the TV Show 'Sociedade Civil' on RTP2
Publication date: April 27, 2013Last friday, 19th of Abril of 2013, the researcher Ana Veloso, from the Department of Communication and Art, was one of the invited speakers of “Sociedade Civil”, a TV show transmitted by RTP2, speaking on the topic “Social networks for over 50s”.
The TV program 'Sociedade Civil' broadcast on last Friday, addressed the topic 'Social Networks for over 50s'. Eduarda Maio was the moderator of the discussion tiggered by the question 'How can information and communication platforms facilitate older adult's integration and socialization, eradicating the feeling of loneliness?".
Quality of life, the demographic crisis and social and Internet security are some of the subjects in focus.
The invited speakers were:
- Alexandra Lopes, researcher at the Department of Sociology of University of Porto;
- Tito de Morais, the founder of miudos seguros na net;
- Ana Veloso, researcher at the Department of Communication and Art and the coordinator of the SEDUCE research project;
- Nuno Moreira, manager of the Safe Internet Foundation for Science and Technologies.
