miOne world is the 1st International Conference on Online Social Environments for Active Ageing – a result of the SEDUCE 2.0 Research Project (FCT POCI-01-0145-FEDER-031696) – that brings together researchers, professionals and industry representatives to discuss design, development and evaluation of digitally mediated products for active ageing, sense of community and well-being. The conference took place online on the 22nd and 23rd of July 2021, and was organized by the Department of Communication and Art – DigiMedia of the University of Aveiro in partnership with the University of Porto (FLUP) and the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (ESEV) .

The conference was attended by 105 registrants, 3 companies and 3 international keynotes that contributed to the reflection and discussion of R&D work, strategies, case studies, demonstrations, business experiences, reviews and methodological proposals. In addition, the debate on gerontechnology and digital well-being in times of pandemic was promoted, with a focus on socio-technological dimensions associated with digitally mediated strategies adopted to overcome the limits of measures of social distancing.
