The SEDUCE 2.0 Project at the conference GAMEON2019

On September 16, 17 and 18, the SEDUCE 2.0 researcher Liliana Costa shared her experience in ‘Game-based psychotherapy’ at the GAME-ON2019 conference, University of Breda, Netherlands. During the three days of the conference, the tutorial ‘Being a “Visual Novel” storyteller with Fungus Unity 3D’ was carried out and the next conference for the year 2020 at the University of Aveiro was announced.

The early morning of September 16th started with another edition of the GAME-ON conference. In 2019, Breda University of Applied Sciences and EUROSIS were the conference hosts, welcoming the participants and presenting the first Keynote speaker. On behalf of the SEDUCE 2.0 project team, Liliana Costa spoke about ‘Game-based Psychotherapy’ – the concept, the research carried out within the project, its importance for interaction design and psychology.

On September 17, Liliana Costa carried out the tutorial ‘Being a “Visual Novel” storyteller with Fungus Unity3D ”, which aimed to provide participants with the basic skills to develop “Visual Novels ”and graphic adventures, using the Unity3D extension, Fungus.

After the presentation of different papers that were accepted at the conference by each author and demo testing, the next GAME-ON2020 conference was announced, taking place at the Department of Communication and Art of the University of Aveiro.
