On March 4, the undergraduate students of the project FLIP-FLOP Fostering Leisure and Inclusive Tourism, Fostering Location-based Outdoor Playtime present the game concept and main functionalities of the game FOOTOUR at the meeting room of Altice Labs.
The undergraduate students in New Technologies of Communication, Diogo Carvalho, Sofia Ribeiro and João Sampaio present the game concept Footour, its functionalities and functional requirements, proposing a way on how it can be integrated into the online community miOne.
The FLIP-FLOP project has the purpose of developing a location-based game to foster intergenerational interactions between senior tourists and local communities through natural and cultural heritage and tourism sustainability. This project is supervised by professor Ana Isabel Veloso (Principal Researcher of the SEDUCE 2.0 project) and co-supervised by Liliana Vale Costa (Researcher of the SEDUCE 2.0 project).
Three touristic routes (with different points of interest – POIs) were presented in order to associate a digitally-mediated experience (phygital) to the Aveiro region. In this phase, the undergraduate students presented the game story, goal and game rules. It is worth noting that they also proceeded with some awarding and feedback mechanisms and a technical proposal.
