First evaluation session of the online community miOne took place at Oliveira de Azeméis

On February 3, the first session out of seven relative to the online community miOne took place at the University of Third Age of Oliveira de Azeméis. The first session lasted nearly 2 hours and included 7 participants from the experimental group and 7 participants from the control group.

On February 3, 2020, the first session out of seven relative to the evaluation of the online community miOne took place at the University of Third Age of Oliveira de Azeméis. This session started nearly about 2:30 p.m. with the administration of questionnaires relative to the perception of quality of life (WHOQOL-BREF) and the informed consent from each of the groups.

The session proceeded with the game entitled  ‘More Than Words’ game in which the moderator randomly selected one of the cards in the deck and each participant mentioned different words related to the term. Some themes suggested by the participants that can be addressed in the miOne community are: theatre, agriculture, music, beaches (walks) and singing.

At the end of the session, questionnaires were collected and the next sessions were scheduled.

These sessions are carried out under the Master in Multimedia Communication within the SEDUCE 2.0 research project by Sónia Machado. Her research work focuses on the development of a UX Kit for Senior Online Communities. The following members of the research team have also participated in the activities: Francisco Regalado, Henrique Silva and Liliana Costa.
