On May 7, 2019, six students at the University of Third Age Gafanha da Nazaré adhered to the first group session entitled Gamification and Senior Cyclotourism. Cláudia Ortet carried out a set of activities that had the goal of understanding the participants’ context relative to the use of bike and game elements and techniques in senior tourism.
The first group seession about ‘Gamification and Senior Cyclotourism’ was held at the University of Third Age Gafanha da Nazaré on May 7, 2019, in which the Master’s student in Multimedia Communication, Cláudia Ortet, was the moderator.
The session started nearly 15h30 and being the first of four sessions, the concepts of cyclotourism and senior tourism were discussed as well as motivations for cycling.
During almost 2 hours, the participants shared possible benefits for cycling, necessary objects that can be brought during these trips and planning, and the type of information that they would share, when, with whom, and how. Finally, the participants scheduled the cycling session (2ndsession of the focus group) for next week and discussed the cycling route.
