On March 18, Cláudia Ortet, a Master Student in Multimedia Communication (MCMM) presented the materials relative in order to involve the adult learners at the University of Third Age in ‘Gamification and Senior Cyclotourism’.
The first session of a discussion group on the use of game elements and techniques applied to senior tourism was carried out in the Altice Labs, at 4 p.m. of March 18. This is a 4-session study, which purpose is to simulate the activities that will be carried out with the adult learners at the University of Third Age.
Cláudia Ortet started the session by introducing herself and her work that is articulated with the SEDUCE research project and surveying the research team about motivations for cycling, benefits, necessary objects that can be brought during these trips and planning. Finally, she drew the participants’ attention for the concept of tourism and, in specific, cyclotourism.
At the end of the session, the members of the research team shared their views on the course of the session and provided some suggestions for improving the presentation with the older adults.
