On June 18, 2021, the VIVAZ project team presented their product on the Digital Interaction 2021 event. Afonso Lopes, Carlos Correia, Miguel Coutinho and Sara Ferreira, students from the New Communication Technologies degree, received feedback from representatives of Mindera, Ubiwhere and Critek, allowing them to improve their final product – VIVAZ.

The VIVAZ project aims to establish a close relationship between the practice of physical exercise and the act of socializing, as a way to connect a senior audience, while socializing and practicing physical activity. It is a mobile application that integrates the concept of social network in the standard operating model of pre-existing cycling applications. The team also intends to implement an aspect dedicated to the tourism dimension of bicycle tours, enabling navigation, via GPS, through predefined routes that highlight, via specific points of interest, the tourism and beauty of each area. Thus, the final product opens doors for several active participants to enjoy the benefits created by the application, starting with the senior user, for whom the application was designed, who will be able to visit, meet and exercise both body and mind, within a social circle, with a sense of belonging and community. The tourism management of cities can also, by using VIVAZ as a support medium, put the focus of users on local historical aspects, monuments and areas of leisure and culture.
